Use Case 07 – Reply to Email

 

Overview:

In this use case, the user replies to an email.

 

Actors:

-          Email User

-          SMTP Server

 

Preconditions:

A user has a valid email address with the specified POP and SMTP server.  The user has logged on to the site with a valid URL using a WAP enabled device.  The user is currently viewing an email message.

 

Scenario:

1.  The user selects the “Reply to” link.

The user is forwarded to the Compose Email Screen.  The user is prompted to enter an email address.  The field has a pre-entered value of the email address to be responded to.

1.  The user enters an email address and clicks on the enter softkey.

The user is prompted to enter a CC: address.

2.  The user enters a CC: address and clicks on the enter softkey.

The user is prompted to enter a subject. The field has a pre-entered value of the subject to be responded to.

3.  The user enters a subject and clicks on the enter softkey.

The user is prompted to enter text.

4.  The user enters the email text and clicks on the enter softkey.

The user is prompted to ender “Send”.

5.  The user clicks on the enter softkey.

The email is submitted for transmittal and the user is forwarded to a message-submitted screen.

 

Use Case Notes:

Steps 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 may be repeated as often as is necessary.

 

Post Conditions:

The user will be directed to the main menu.
